CIA Factbook
Find information on geography, economics, politics, military and communications for more than 200 nations worldwide.
Competitions and Markets Authority
As a result of the 1998 Competition Act the Competition and Markets Authority replaced the Monopolies & Mergers Commission. Also access to the European Commission site on Competition.
Dept for Business & Trade
Information on its activities and resources; exports and investment; business support; regulatory guidance; science and industry; and economic competition.

INFER - International Network for Economic Research
A not-for-profit organisation which supports research in economics. Has an extensive list of publications and working papers.
Institute for Fiscal Studies
Large amount of published information available on a range of economics-related issues including econometrics, consumption, the labour market, etc.. Contains links to its research centre.
World Economic Forum
The WEF publishes reports in its efforts to work with business, politicians and academics to examine global issues.
