LibFest 2024: Unleashing the Power of Knowledge

A huge thank you to all who attended LibFest 2024 on October 23. 

It was the first time we have held such an event, and it was fantastic to see the Docklands Library come to life through demonstrations, competitions, and activities within our interactive zones. 

We had 35 exhibitors demonstrating the services, tools and resources that are available to support you during your time at UEL. It was great to see students, staff and partners all come together as one UEL community during the event to enhance knowledge, explore services and build connections. 

There were a variety of games and competitions in which students could win prizes during the day, along with a larger pot of prizes for those that completed each zone within the interactive map. A total of 650 students actively participated in the event, with around 100 fully completing the interactive map. All those students were entered into a prize draw to win a variety of prizes, which included Apple AirPods, retail vouchers, SportsDock gym memberships, goody bags and much more. 

We would like to thank all our partners and UEL departments for their generous donations. A full list of these prizes can be found here. 

Congratulations to all our winners, who have been notified, including Anjila Subba Lingdam, who won our top prize (A pair of Apple Airpods and a Perlego Goody bag, donated by our partner, Perlego.)
